What is on offer?
Mother-tongue support and assessment in the following languages: Punjabi, Bangladeshi, Sylethi, Gujarati, Hindi, Somalian, Spanish and Cantonese. Language support is available in 50 key languages (24 hour notice required). Asian satelitte assessment and outreach services in north, south and central Westminster and Chinese support and complimentary therapy in China Town.
Culturally appropriate one-to-one counselling service. SohoSafe, an activity-based support group for black and minority ethnic clients including music production and creative workshops.
Access to day programme and lifeskills courses. Schools liaison work and culturally specific peer education programmes for young people. Support, advocacy and follow-up for clients accessing treatment. Family and community liaison, training and consultation for community workers and health professionals.
Clients can access services by telephoning or attending the Hungerford’s drop-in Monday to Friday 2-5pm.
