"A weekly activity based support group targeting Black and Asian homeless young people in central London."

SohoSafe is a weekly activity based support group targeting Black and Asian homeless Young People in central London. It is these marginalised groups that are currently under represented within local services and are at most risk from engaging in high risk behaviour such as problematic drug use, criminal activity, unsafe sex and violence.

SohoSafe allows individuals the opportunity to share experiences, gain support, advice and information and relax in a non-judgemental, culturally specific, safe environment. Each week participants are encouraged to explore important issues related to their drug use such as: physical and mental health, experiences of discrimination, legal rights, personal safety, cultural identity and self-esteem.

What is on offer?
  • Black and Asian centred debates and discussion
  • Creative expression through art, photography, drama and video
  • Music production training and access to studio time
  • Relaxation through complimentary therapies
  • Computer activities and internet access
  • Sporting, leisure and outdoor activities
