| Course Summary: Research has shown that lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB)
people tend to fear homophobia within services,
whether or not this actually is the case. Many feel that
they leave services with their needs unmet.
This one-day course provides an opportunity to explore the possible issues and barriers that may arise when attempting to meet the needs of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual. It will allow participants the opportunity to review their current working practice and will be beneficial to professionals who wish to develop specialist services or interventions that address the needs of this community. This course will be of particular use to those working in generic services that are also accessed by LGB clients.Learning Objectives:
