An interactive, one-day course that will explore crack cocaine, crack-use, service provision, and interventions that can be employed to respond to the presenting needs of crack users. This course is designed to promote greater awareness of the issues associated with crack-use and is aimed at any worker wishing to develop more effective and inclusive ways of working with crack cocaine users.

This course is aimed at all professionals / volunteers working in the substance misuse and social care field that want to increase their knowledge of crack cocaine and develop their skills to enable effective working practices with crack cocaine users.

  • To increase knowledge about the physical and psychological effects of Crack/Cocaine
  • Socio-cultural factors associated with Crack use
  • Crack and the law
  • Harm minimisation
